Some people may wonder why I chose the name King of Scripts for my website. There are many reasons that lead to that decision. First there was the long hard battle to learn how to create a website and how to make it work. I kind of feel like I have climbed to the top of my personal mountain. It was a struggle to get there, but now I feel that I am the king of my mountain.

I tried many failed attempts to make money online. I bought software packages that were supposed to help me and make it easier to create webpages and whole websites. I spent a lot of money on what I view as worthless junk, because in the end it did not help me and may have actually held me back. I read a lot of information about HTML and PHP to find out how to create my own working websites. I bought ready made websites and made changes to them to make them work, learning more as I went along.

I bought written books, I bought digital information products, and I bought home study courses. I had to figure out what I needed to do to make my Internet business successful. Health problems and job stress made it impossible for me to work at my Electrical Engineering position for a Fortune 500 Company. I actually got so sick that I almost died February 1, 2007. Without my income it was hard to make ends meet with just my Wife’s income. I decided to start an Internet business, because I can not meet the schedule requirements of a 9 to 5 JOB. Bottom line is I had to make the Internet business work and fast.

I did not expect to become an instant millionaire or a success overnight, but I did expect to make a living through my business and pay the bills. All the purchases I made just kept adding to the debt, until I found out the secret to success on the Internet. The secret is in the list. I was going about my business all wrong. Just getting visitors to your website is not enough. Most people will not buy from you the first time they visit your website and may not bookmark your website or even remember what your website was about. How do you get them to come back to your website? How do you remind them about what products and services you offer?

That is where the list comes in. If they subscribe to your opt-in list, then you can send them periodic email messages to remind them about your website, the products, and the services you offer. You can send them email messages about special deals and new products that you are offering. This list works for any business you decide to start whether it is offline or online. Keeping your business name and products in your visitors mind will help to make them your customers.

I had been focusing on getting visitors to my website and not on building my list. I had missed out on a huge potential to make money and that is lost income. You can learn from my mistakes, so you do not have to make them yourself.

Another reason I choose the name King of Scripts is because I enjoy comedy and used to watch a popular TV series called King of Queens and I really related with the main character Doug Heffernan (Played by Kevin James). You can catch re-runs on cable channel TBS. I am not sure why that should help me pick a name for my website, but all I can say is it did.
