All of the information contained in the largest library will not help you, unless you read the information. Simply reading the information is not enough either. You need to use the information before it can do you any good at all. You can never learn enough, so my advice is to keep learning every day that you live. Think about what you are learning and ask yourself some questions as you read the information. How does this information apply to me and my current circumstances? How can I use this information while it is still fresh in my mind? How can I benefit others with this information? You should consider such questions every time you read, hear, or watch something new.

This blog has been created to give information that I have gathered through my personal search for understanding. I have decided to provide this information to help others like yourself that are struggling to make money on the Internet. With the gas prices being so high in the USA and really every where in the world, people are really feeling the pinch financially. More people look to the Internet to increase their income, or replace a lost income due to job loss. It is truly a sad state of affairs, but it will only get worse. When you rely on only one source of income, you are already on shaky ground, because you do not know what tomorrow will bring.

Many people say that JOB stands for Just Over Broke. And this makes sense when you consider that most people live from pay check to pay check. What would happen if you missed a pay check for medical reasons or loss of your job? You would go broke. As long as you continue working for someone else you are at their mercy. You make them rich and you just make it financially.

Some Internet Marketers are selling ready made websites that you can buy and upload to your web hosting server. Some will even do this if you use the web host provider that they tell you to use. This may seem like a good deal, but consider this. If you do not make changes to the website, then it will be just like the 1000′s of others that they have sold. What makes your website unique? Search engines look for unique content and may not add your website to their databases if it is the same as 1000′s of others that they have already added. I am not saying that buying into one of these plan is completely bad, but you need to be able to make changes to make your site unique.

There are some Internet Marketers that are selling hosted packages and your “website” is just a sub-domain on their website. These are easy to spot and look like this:

www.yourname.theirname.com

or even worse like this:

www.theirname.com/yourname

The last one is the worst to have, because when you send visitors to your “website” you are actually adding to the other person’s website ranking and this does nothing for your “website”. I would recommend that you steer clear of these offers, and make sure that you have a separate website with a unique domain not a sub-domain. Ask questions before you buy the package. After you buy the package there is not a whole lot you can do, except try to make the most of it for the period of time that you paid for. Unless you make a large sum of money with the package, make sure you unsubscribe from it before the renewal time or cancel your subscription when you want to.

I am not going to list the companies to avoid, but you can do a search for their company through the Better Business Bureau, do a Google search on the company name and website, search for fraud alerts on the company or website. The best tool at your disposal is knowledge. Know what to look for and what to avoid. Know what questions to ask and ask a lot of questions. Never just buy into a ready made website at the time that you see it. Check around and see if there are any bad reports about the company first. Yes, there are scammers out there! Beware of the offer that sounds to good to be true, because it is probably a scam.

One thing to watch out for is claims that you can make millions of dollars overnight without selling, promoting or writing letters, etc. If you are not selling anything, then how do you make money? Does the money just appear in your bank account? Does the money fairy appear and give the money to you? Real business opportunities will not make such claims. Making money online takes time and effort. You will not be a millionaire overnight, but you could be one in a few years. There are legitimate people who are making millions of dollars online, so it is possible.

You create a website that sells something. You collect names and email addresses of visitor through an opt-in form. You promote that website through free and paid advertisement strategies. You provide good content that people want to see, then they will tell others about your website and then those will tell still others. You get return visitors. This all takes time and work. Once you get your website working and making money for you, then you need to keep adding to it. Otherwise you will loose some of the progress you made.

Once you start making money, then you can afford to outsource a lot of the work that is involved in maintaining your website. You can even outsource the creation of more websites. Yes, you want more then one website, otherwise you are in the same situation with only one income. You want to create multiple streams of income, then if something happens to one income stream you still have the others to carry you through until you get a replacement.
