If you have been an online marketer for a while now, then you may have heard about Resell Rights products. You may already own some digital information products. Most digital information products come with personal use or User Rights, which means you can not sell them. You may even find some products that come with Giveaway Rights, which means that you can only give these away to other people. Do you know if you have any digital information products that came with Resell Rights? What can you do with these digital information products?

Create Internet Shortcuts

Typically you can not make changes to the digital information products. But you can create Internet Shortcuts for your landing pages, sales pages or your Blog and include these in a separate folder called “Bonus” or what ever you want. This folder can then be included in the zip file that you give with the purchase of the product. You can create an Internet Shortcut in Windows by right clicking on a blank place in an open folder of your choosing. Then select “New” from the menu and click on “Shortcut”. Once the “Create Shortcut” window opens, then you can copy and paste the desired URL in the box. Click next and you will be prompted to name your new Internet Shortcut. You can pick a name that describes your offer, product or website, then click “Finish” and your new Internet Shortcut will be created in the folder.

Create a new folder that describes the digital product that you intend to sell. Use lower case letters and numbers separated by hyphens or underscore lines. Now copy the product file(s) to the new folder that you created. Copy the “Bonus” folder with your Internet Shortcuts to the new folder. After you have done this, then you can create a zip of the entire new folder that you created and copied to. Use WinZip or a free compression utility that you can find online using a Google search for “free compression utility” or “free zip program”.

What this does for you is to give a viral affect to your Resell Rights products. The creator of the product will usually include links within the product to his own website, landing page, sales page or Blog. You may not have the right to make any changes to the product, but by including these Internet Shortcuts with the product, then you can promote your other products with each sale.

Sell Resell Rights Products on Your Website

You can create a “Buy Now” button through PayPal if you have a PayPal account set up to receive payments. One of the options in the set-up of the “Buy Now” button is the URL for the “Thank You” page. You can create a “Thank You” page for your customer to download the product. You need to have an active link on the page and instructions for the customer to download the file. There are other ways to accomplish this, but this is the easiest way that I have found.

You need to create a sales page that highlights the benefits of your product and describes your product. You may also want to include Testimonials if possible. You need to create the Thank You page with the active link to download the product. Then you need to upload these pages and your product file to your web host server. Check out the download link and the Buy Now button to make sure they work.

Send traffic to your sales page and you can make money 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Once this all set up, you just sit back and watch the sales come in. For this product all you need to do is check the links once in a while and send traffic to the sales page. Then you can focus on the next product.

One of the easiest ways to monetize your website is to place Google AdSense advertisements on key webpages of your website. Many people downplay the power of Google AdSense, because you can make anywhere from $0.01 to $10 or more per click. The skeptics say that it will take a lot of clicks to make any decent money. For the most part they are right.

Google AdSense should not be the only way you monetize your website. You will have visitors come to your website for the content you provide and for the products you already offer. The income you generate from Google would then be a windfall.

The key to making money with Google is to bring a lot of visitors to the webpages that you have Google AdSense advertisements displayed. If you get 1000 clicks at $0.01 per click that is $10 extra money your website generated.

Now what if you picked high paying keywords and key phrases? You design your webpages so that these higher paying keywords and key phrases are prominent. Then Google will display the higher paying advertisements on your webpages. Now when you get a click it will pay even more. For the same example above you get 1000 clicks on the higher paying advertisements and get $10 per click, now you have generated $10,000 extra from your website. Who couldn’t use an extra $10,000?

Last year I remember reading about a man in Hartford, Connecticut that was working as an independent handyman. Jerry Alonzy created a website about his craft and then decided to add Google AdSense. At the time of the article he was making $120,000US per year just from the Google AdSense! Most people could live comfortably with that kind of money. And Jerry explained that it couldn’t be easier, “I put in two, maybe three hours a day on the site, and the checks pour in. What’s not to like?”

The above quoted article was on the front page of the Money Section B of USA Today October 26, 2007. The title of the article was “‘Gray Googlers’ Strike Gold. I am sure you have asked this question many times this year or even in years past. Have you ever seen gas prices so high? Can you remember when gas did not cost over $2US per gallon? Lately just seeing gas for $3US per gallon would be great.

The bad thing is that when the price of gas goes up so does everything else that depends on petroleum for manufacturing and distribution. It is not just the price of gas that keeps going higher. Why does this happen?

I am not an economist, so I am not going to go into the supply and demand theories or other ways to explain why gas is so high. What it comes down to is greed and taking advantage of a situation to make money. Just look at the financial records of the big petroleum companies. They are all having a record year! They keep crying about how the hurricanes cause them to shut down production and cost them money for repairs, etc. etc. etc. I think this is just a way for them to try to justify raising the price some more. I guess I could go on for hours about all of this.

What can you do about it?

There is not a whole lot you can do about this. You could write letters to congressmen, governors, or the President. I do not know if that will make much of a difference. The situation will always exist as long as people keep paying the high prices for gas.

You can focus your attention on making more money for yourself and for your family. This could help you to make ends meet and better weather the storm of the higher costs of everything. Many people are turning to the Internet to help them make money, but the sad thing is that most people do not know how.

If you have been following this series so far, then you should have a web hosting account, domain name, an HTML editor, and a graphics editor. Now you should be ready to start designing and creating your website.

Squeeze Page

The squeeze page is a very important part of an Internet Marketing website. This is how you build your list! You can use a digital information product or other downloadable file to offer your visitors in exchange for their name and email address. You will want to select something that relates to the product(s) that you offer for sale.

Your squeeze page should be written as a mini sales letter. Your goal is to sell the FREE offer to your visitor. You want them to see the value in the FREE offer and want to surrender their name and email address in exchange for the FREE offer.

The code for your opt in form should be given to you from your AutoResponder service. This code will create the opt in form for your webpage and send your visitor’s information to be included in your opt in list. The opt in list will reside on the server of your AutoResponder service. You will be able to send email messages to your list. You can set up a whole series of messages that will be delivered on certain days after the visitor opted in. You can also send instant broadcast messages that will be sent to everyone on your list at once or you can select how many you want to send to.

Sales Letter

This is what will make money for you! Once a person opts in to your list, they will usually need to confirm their email address. An email message will be sent right away to the email address they gave you. This will have a link for the person to click on. You can set up your account so that the person is sent to a webpage URL after they confirm their email address. This should be your sales letter. This will be your first opportunity to make a sale, so you want to make sure you use the opportunity.

You can write a sales letter webpage for your own product or service. You can write a sales letter webpage to sell an Affiliate product or service. You can sell information products that you have purchased the Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights or Private Label Rights. If you did not purchase these rights then you will get into trouble if you try to sell something that you do not have the right to sell.

This is the second post in a series and you may want to consider reading the first part of this series before you consider the information below. How to Get Started in Internet Marketing

Once you have your web hosting account and your AutoResponder account set up, you need to start designing and laying out your website. You are probably wondering what you need to do these things.

HTML Editing Software

The first thing you need is HTML editing software. There are many available for a wide range of prices. You can do a Google search for “HTML editor”. I personally use KompoZer (NVU) – HTML Editor, and it is a FREE open source software. This has a graphical editor that allows you to create your webpage by typing or cut and paste. This enables you to create your webpages even if you do not know anything about HTML. You can save your file in HTML format on your computer and then upload these files to your web host server.

Some web hosting companies have a built in HTML editor that you can use to create your webpages. The webpages will be created through your web browser and will be saved on your web hosting server. Make sure you download a copy to your computer for a back up.

Graphics Editor

You will need graphic images for your website to look professional. You can buy graphics that are already made. You can buy graphics packages from many Internet Marketers. I have several graphics packages available for download in the members area of this website. You can see an example of what Graphics Packages are available. You can find other graphics packages by doing a Google search.

Once you get some graphics that you want to use for your website you may need to customize them for your website. The header graphics for example should have your website address on it so your visitor knows what website they are visiting. You will need to have a good graphics editor to do this. There are a wide variety of graphics editor software available for various prices. You can find one by doing a Google search for “graphics editor”. A very common graphics editor is PhotoShop and you can get graphic template files in the PSD format which is a PhotoShop file format. There is a FREE option that will also edit PSD files and it is called GIMP and is an open source software.
